Search terms
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that powers the tool. Colorado Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its receipt and use of the query.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the content and return information long enough to review and answer it. A message is not an official Colorado Open Records Act or Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act request. Official requests must go to the agency that holds the record. We do not share message content outside the organization unless the law requires it.

For example, registering for a Colorado VINE notice sends the contact details required for that alert to VINE or the reporting agency.
Advertising companies may use their own technologies to measure activity across websites and choose interest-based advertisements. That processing occurs under their systems and policies, not as a record maintained by Colorado Released Inmates.
